Virtual Performance Management CMI

May 26 & May 30 2025 (9:00am - 12Noon EST)

Club Management Institute (CMI) courses are required as part of the international certification program to become a Certified Club Manager (CCM). The successful completion of a quiz at the end of a CMI course is required.

Presentation Description

This session will introduce proven strategies that allow participants to gain confidence in the following areas:

• Developing Performance Agreements

• Creating improved levels of alignment

• Fostering accountability

• Develop improved levels of employee retention and engagement

Participants will complete a leadership self-assessment that identifies their current strengths and developmental opportunities.

Discussions will take place relating to some of the traditional (non-effective) processes and methodologies for managing performance. The focus will shift to innovative and creative ways to provide mentoring and coaching to set employees up for future success.

The learning outcomes will allow participants to build a business argument that highlights the importance of developing and introducing strategies that create greater levels of employee engagement and retention. Discussions will also take place addressing the merits of peer-to-peer accountability when developing highly engaged teams.

Learning Objectives

As a result of participation, attendees will gain a level of confidence and a greater appreciation of the importance of early interventions that address concerns relating to performance and behaviour. They will be provided with tools that reinforce the importance of aligning their behaviour with the values of the Club (Cultural Alignment) while holding employees professionally accountable for meeting performance expectations that are aligned with the Club’s strategy and business plans (Strategic Alignment).
